The platform also provides a powerful design environment for application development, which means that mobile applications can be developed without writing a single line of code. The Dexterra Concert architecture consists of the following components:
- Dexterra Concert Server: An event-driven messaging system that manages the communication of data between distributed applications and backend data sources.
- Dexterra Composer: Used to configure, customize and manage the Dexterra Concert platform.
- Dexterra Adapter Framework: Provides an extensible infrastructure for integrating with existing systems using point-to-point application adapters, technology adapters (such as MQ) and native database adapters.
- Dexterra Application Framework: Manages mobile applications and devices using a persistent data store for mobile workers.
Dexterra Concert runs on all popular web application servers including: IBM Websphere, SAP NetWeaver, Microsoft and Linux (including RedHat). It features out-of-the-box integration with backend solutions including SAP, Oracle, Oracle-Siebel, Saleforce.com, Maximo and Remedy. Applications built on the Dexterra Concert platform can run on the widest variety of mobile device operating systems including RIM, Microsoft, Symbian and Linux.
